Luigi Spagnol

SpagnolLuigi Spagnol was born in Bassano del Grappa and lives in Rome where he works as a film and television screenwriter.

He is the author of five novels – “La decima sinfonia” with Franco Scaglia (Rusconi),” La camera d’ambra” (Bariletti), “La sera del mondo” (Bariletti), “La Signora della notte” (Piemme), “I santi di Satana” (piemme) – , of four staged plays – “Ti vedo stanca”, “La lavatrice”, “Con passione”, “Piuma del Signore” – of a dozen of short stories published in books and magazines, of several fictions for radio and television and of some feature films.

He has worked with Luigi Magni, Franco Giraldi, Carlo Lizzani, Tullio Pinelli, Ugo Pirro e Rodolfo Sonego. Among the one hundred and fifty hours of TV fiction he wrote, alone and with others, his most popular series are: “Linda e il brigadiere”, “Il bello delle donne”, “Carabinieri”, “La Sacra Famiglia”, “Caterina e le sue figlie” and “Io non dimentico”.

For the radio he has written “Prima le donne e i bambini” and “Il giallo si addice ad Alice”, series about female private detectives.

He has written and directed the film “Schiuma d’onda” award-winning film at the 58th Salerno International Film Festival, the medium-length film “Prima della metamorfosi” (based on Kafka) and the short film “Nel sonno”.
