Renato de Rosa

renato-de-rosa-1Renato de Rosa was born on 1st May 1957 in a house on the main road of Castellina in Chianti, while musicians were playing on the street. He hails from a dynasty of theatrical actors whose origins go back to way back when. He holds a degree in mathematics and he is the president of a consulting company which advices societies about Community policy. Being an expert on creativity, he created and still teaches Free Mind, an innovative technique that can be used to improve one’s ability to think with their own head.
He is the author of board games sold both in Italy and abroad; his chess and bridge abilities can compete with those of national players and he is a member of Mensa, the global association for people with a high I.Q.
He works both as an actor and as an author for the laboratories set by Zelig, a very famous TV programme in Italy.
He is a parodist and a humorist. In 2006, he published Il più grande calciatore del mondo (“The greatest footballer in the world”, winner of the Coni Ussi prize for the best sport book) with the publishing house Limina; in 2012 he published La variante del pollo with the publishing house Mursia, a collection of parodies of the best Italian writers based on the theme “Why did the chicken cross the road?” and in 2016 Mursia published its sequel La variante del pollo international, where parodies of the best foreign writers are collected.
